Checklist for 1st Day

Please refer to your "My Orientation" page for all the details and documentation you'll need for your first day.

Below is a description of items and tasks that would typically need to be brought in and/or completed when you arrive for your first day at Sandy Hill CHC.

  • Criminal Reference Check for the Vulnerable Sector - obtain a Criminal Reference Check and bring proof of completion and the receipt (to be reimbursed)
  • Watch the Orientation Videos
  • Bring a Void cheque with you (for payroll purposes)
  • Verification of Educational Requirements for position
  • Completed Linguistic Profile (if required) - consult New Avenues Linguistic Services for testing (http://www.newavenues.ca); paid for by SHCHC

The Orientation Coordinator will provide you with appropriate keys, entry fob and information kit. A tour of the building will be scheduled when you arrive.

You will also meet with the Human Resources Officer who will ask you to fill out Personal Information forms and will go over benefits information and/or provide instructions for filling out Time Sheets (if applicable).
